As I walked around the delightful Tate Milbank this morning, I was introduced to Gillian Wearing. Gillian in an English photographer and video artist. Her work stopped me in my tracks and made me laugh. Her mix of modern day humour, sarcasm and wit depicted in her photography was refreshing. Wearing has described her working method as ‘editing life'. By using photography and video to record the confessions of ordinary people, her work explores the disparities between public and private life, between individual and collective experience. Get yourself down to the Tate Milbank and have a look for yourself.
Now where’s my purse…..
